For most people it’s not all that common to get very-raisiny spotted dick and a trophy in the same night but here at Creative Spark, it’s all the rage, at least, it was on Thursday when we won a silver award for Best Use of Illustration at the Fresh Creative Awards. A big thanks and well done to Deanna for working with us on this.

We appreciate a good bit of viral marketing here at Spark Towers, especially if it makes us nearly dampen our trousers with laughter. Diesel’s SFW XXX video is unbelievably incredible, taking the simple concept of censoring “adult entertainment” with something entirely innocent and pure to new levels. It even has ’70s moustaches, what more could you ask for on a Monday afternoon?

When we thought of the wonderful “mug-shot” pun, it was inevitable that this photo of Carl would be posted here. Also in the running was “Carl, Carl, he’s our man, if he can’t do it he’ll have a brew in the mug-given-to-him-for-his-birthday-by-his-gran” but we thought it lacked a certain something.

Here’s a first look at a new typeface I’ve been working on. It hasn’t got a name yet, so suggestions are welcome!

If there was ever a good reason to have children, Quinny‘s “Penguin Footmuff” is it. If they decide to produce an adult version I’ll be sending Father Christmas a very nice letter indeed.

Our ‘No Fishing’ Dunny, created by in-house designer Ralph Marra has gone on display at the Richard Goodall Gallery. So if you’re passing by, why not pop in and have a look!

Thanks to Laura for all her hard work during her 2 weeks of work experience. We got her a little present as a thank you and she returned the favour with a pack of Jaffa Cakes, which went down lovely with our afternoon brew!

We all took a break from the consistently good-value legend that is the Boots Meal Deal yesterday to have delicious steaks, sausages, burgers and potato-based accompaniments at Mal Maison in celebration of an exciting new contract which we’ll tell you all about soon! Sadly there wasn’t time for a nap afterwards.
