We launched the new Peter Kay website today, have a look and let us know your thoughts…

Here’s a picture of Adam Murry-Brown from Studio 2 Photography shooting the new portfolio shots for our all-singing, all-dancing brand-spanking-new website which is due to launch in October.

All will be revealed very soon…
We’re all full of excitement at Creative Spark Towers as we’ve just come back from spending the day with the one and only Lily Allen!
We sent Neil and Andy to help her shoot the campaign with photographer Guy Farrow for her brand new jewellery line at the swanky Claridges Hotel in London.
We enjoyed a tast of the celeb lifestyle, arriving first thing Monday morning to be swarmed by Paps, and then spent the day with Lily and her entorage consisting of Grimmy from BBC Radio One, and none other than the richest artist in the whole world, Damien Hirst!
The shoot was filmed by Grazia Magazine (see if you can spot Neil Art Directing in the background) and we were also joined by Vogue for a little while.
Once we were spent and had all the shots in the can, we enjoyed a spot of afternoon tea where Andy enjoyed the best scone he’d ever had in his life.
Just another day in the life at Creative Spark, then.
Keep an eye out for our next bout of celeb-spotting!

Local Indie band Fine Lines are off to Scotland this weekend to do a few gigs and we were asked to do some posters. Thanks to Marc the printers for a lovely print job!
A few of us went along to the Adobe roadshow last week at Old Trafford and after we popped into the Megastore to check out the wall graphics we did for Manchester United Soccer Schools. They look great and certainly stand out in the store!

Way back in May last year we were asked to document a series of festivals over the summer, we kickstarted it all at Gatecrasher Summer Sound System, with the job in the archive, it was almost forgotten about, but we got a nice email from Sam yesterday asking for a photo we took of him and his girlfriend. We were of course happy to help out and thought we’d share the rest of the photos with you. See the pics

Yet another big brother related post, what are the chances. This time we turn to Germany, Big Brother 9 is currently running in over there and one of the housemates, Marcel, is flying the flag for Creative Spark. We designed the logo for German rap group sSUTED VIBEz, friends of Marcel, and he’s packed his case full of sSUTED VIBEz goodies to wear in the house!

After six long months the Salford Music Map was finally launched!
In celebration of Salford’s musical heritage, we were commissioned by Salford City Council to create a map highlighting hotspots across the city. Salford has a rich musical history and the Music Map aims to cover all genres across the ages from The Smiths to The Ting Tings, Russell Watson to New Order. The map highlights venues, artists’ birthplaces, concert halls and iconic locations.
If you were tuned into BBC last night in the north west, you might have spotted some of us. The programme, Inside Out, did a feature on the map and sent Nigel Pivaro on the trail of Salford’s musical past. You can watch the program on BBC’s iPlayer.
Pictured with the map at the launch party is Salford’s very own Peter Hook (New Order).
Anya Chambers recently completed a work placement here at Spark Towers and whilst she was here, we asked her to work on an internal project for us, a visual interpretation of Creative Spark.
She came up with a three dimensional paper sculpture. We think you’ll agree that the outcome is a fantastic piece of art which totally represents the personality of Creative Spark. Thanks to Anya for all her hard work and the all the guys at Studio 2 for use of their studio and photography skills.
